Northern Rockies Neuro-Spine Was Founded By Dr. John Schneider MD

Dr. John Schneider founded Northern Rockies Neuro-Spine in June of 2005. The company has offices in Cody, Powell, and Sheridan, Wyoming, as well as clinical offices in Billings, Montana. His practice has been successful because it holds its patient-centered philosophy dear. Dr. John Schneider is a neurological and spine surgeon. He specializes in complex spinal decompression and reconstruction utilizing minimal access technology.

Dr. John Schneider is a graduate of Thousand Oaks High School in Thousand Oaks, California. He graduated in 1979 and next attended college at the University of Southern California (USC). At USC, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences, graduating in 1983 with Cum Laude honors. He enrolled in USC's School of Medicine, graduating in 1987 and therefore receiving his Medical Degree. Dr. John Schneider is proud of his academic accomplishment and has also been published in a number of academic journals. Dr. John Schneider worked at the University of Southern California and Keck School of Medicine from 1987 until 1993. He first served as a Resident, then as a Chief Resident, and then as a Spine Fellow and Assistant Professor. He would eventually leave so that he could join the United States Air Force. He was able to serve his country as a Major and a Staff Neurosurgeon at Wilford Hall Medical Center, 59th Medical Wing, in San Antonio, Texas. He would later serve as the Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery at the University of Texas, San Antonio.

Dr. John Schneider became a Partner with Neurological Associates in September of 1996. Neurological Associates is a private practice in Billings, Montana, and Cody, Wyoming. Dr. Schneider left this position in August of 2004 to become Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery and Director of the Degenerative Spine Program and a Fellowship Instructor with the University of Utah School of Medicine. Soon after, he would found Northern Rockies Neuro-Spine, where he focuses his energies now.
